

MANAGER ON DUTY

Welcome to TPI Academy
The Manager on Duty is a critically important part of each property's daily operation. Just like the department heads, the MOD sets the tone for the restaurant or hotel and is responsible for motivating, inspiring, and leading the team to meet or exceed the expectations of their individual positions. This requires the MOD to practice Humility, Empathy, Accountability, Respect, and Trust. While associates may have many different responsibilities, the Manager on Duty must be committed to assuring that each person on duty is being guided by our core values, vision statement, and company purpose. It can be a challenging role, but if it was easy...anyone could do it!
Keeping everyone in a department engaged and working effectively can be a challenge, but by practicing servant leadership and seeking to understand the perspective of others, a department head can create a healthy and productive work environment.
