The Executive Housekeeper is challenged with not only keeping the housekeeping team organized and efficient, but helping the team feel appreciated and an important part of the team. Being a Room Attendant or Laundry Attendant is hard work, and an Executive Housekeeper is tasked with helping the team know that they are valued. It's not about checking up on the team, it's about seeking to understand their perspectives and helping them create success for themselves and the team. As with other Department Heads, success in this role requires that the team is being guided by our core values, vision statement, and company purpose.

 

Keeping everyone in a department engaged and working effectively can be a challenge, but by practicing servant leadership and seeking to understand the perspective of others, an Executive Housekeeper can create a healthy and productive Housekeeping team.
